Lawrence R. Scheetz, Jr., Esquire, is a partner at the Law Offices of Williams & Scheetz. Mr. Scheetz is engaged in all aspects of civil litigation. Mr. Scheetz’s main areas of practice include Personal Injury, Contract Law, Insurance Law, Estate Planning and Wills, Forming and Advising Small Businesses and PennDOT License Appeals.

Mr. Scheetz concentrates his Personal Injury practice on auto accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, wrongful death matters, traumatic brain injuries caused by negligence, dog bite injuries, salon negligence and individual negligence in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Mr. Scheetz has a proven record of success in resolving and litigating these types of personal injury cases and has obtained millions of dollars for his clients. Mr. Scheetz is a passionate advocate who never stops fighting for the best interests of his clients from the initial consultation to the conclusion of the case.

In addition to his civil litigation practice, Mr. Scheetz is frequently appointed as an arbitrator for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania to assist attorneys and parties in resolving civil matters. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

Prior to joining the Law Offices of Williams & Scheetz, Mr. Scheetz was a Litigation Associate with Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. Mr. Scheetz’s practice focused on a broad range of contract and insurance issues for national and international clients, with particular attention to issues involving the secondary market for life insurance, family trusts, premium financing, and insurance claim disputes. Mr. Scheetz also represented and advised clients in an array of commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, employment-related disputes and regulatory issues. Mr. Scheetz’s commercial litigation practice was conducted in both state and federal court and before regulators, arbitrators and judges.

Mr. Scheetz joined Drinker Biddle following a federal judicial clerkship with the Chief Justice Lawrence F. Stengel in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. As a federal clerk, Mr. Scheetz managed a full docket of cases through initial pleadings, Rule 16 and pre-trial conferences, jury selection, motion hearings, and both civil and criminal trials. Mr. Scheetz also assisted the Court in drafting opinions on issues regarding contract disputes, employment discrimination, insurance claims, First Amendment violations and prisoner civil rights violations.

Mr. Scheetz is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he was a staff member of the Political and Civil Rights Law Review and was awarded the Distinguished Class Performance Award in both Trial Advocacy I and II. He graduated from Bucknell University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in economics, with honors. At Bucknell University, Mr. Scheetz was a Verizon Academic All-American baseball player. Mr. Scheetz attended high school at Holy Ghost Preparatory School.

Mr. Scheetz is an active member of the Bucks County Community. As a member of the Bucks County Bar Association he serves as the Treasurer of the Executive Board, is the past President of the Young Lawyers Division and has reestablished the Solo and Small Practice Section of the Bucks County Bar Association. Mr. Scheetz serves on the Board of Trustees of Holy Ghost Preparatory School and is the Past President of the Holy Ghost Preparatory School Alumni Association. In addition, Mr. Scheetz volunteers his time as a youth basketball and baseball coach at the Central Bucks YMCA.

Mr. Scheetz is admitted to practice law in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of New Jersey and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
